Single-estate teas come from a specific tea plantation, usually located in India or Sri Lanka. (formerly "Ceylon") and produce an exquisite assortment of Darjeelings, Assams and Ceylon teas.
The flavor, quality and character of tea depends on the region, the altitude, the type of soil and climate in which it is grown. Without question, the best tasting teas are loose leaf, unblended Originals. Because of variables in weather, single estate teas will never be exactly the same each time. Much of the pleasure of these teas comes from experiencing the differences from season to season.
